Does anyone know what type of adhesive is best for sticking the ROVER letters onto the boot lid of a P5B? I was expecting them to be fixed through holes in the lid but mine are stuck on. Any advice very welcome.

Any advice very welcome. You either have a new boot lid or the holes have been filled in? the plastic plugs are available from Bresco so best to get some more letters from David Green and forget about re-sticking what you have.

Thanks for the tip. It must have had a new boot lid fitted at some stage as there are no signs of previous holes. What do you mean by plastic plugs? I would have expected the original letters to have pips that located into the holes with a plastic cap fitted over the pips from the inside to retain them. The Coupe badge has threaded pips retained by nuts on the inside.

Bootlids were supplied undrilled as the P5 letter spacing is narrower. The plastic hollow sealed end plugs just push in the the drilled holes and the badge then just pushes on. It works far better than the other method.
If you want to stick them on you will need to remove the lugs on the letters and use narrow trim self adhesive tape as used on modern cars

Belated thanks for the responses. I took one of the letters off and someone has filed the legs off and glued them on. They have been on the car since 1994 so whatever adhesive they used worked OK.
