Hi everyone I am just starting the rust repairs on my 63 saloon i have had her for over ten years, and while still licences she has been laid up needing repairs that were not done properly before I bought her. (yes my car is a "she" according to a letter I found amongst her pike of documents, her name is Georgina) she started life as a dark grey with red interior 3 litre auto saloon with front bench seat. At some stage she was painted white (very poorly, and rust bogged up) and lowered with 16 inch alloy wheels. She was converted to V8 with a Leyland P76 4.4lt engine and BW 35 auto. I have sold these in favour of an EFI 3.9 and ZF 4speed auto. over the years I have contemplated just selling her but couldn't bring myself to let her go. I have actually advertised her a couple of times to see if any interest but only interest was for parts (no way) and stupid offers on price... So I am biting the bullet and getting on with the repairs she needs A pillars, D pillars and sills, I have the sills and A pillar sections, just waiting on D pillar sections from Wadhams. Suspension and subframe done. (Subframe is from a coupe as the 3 litre subframe was pretty butchered) once i figure out how to load pictures I'll load them as I progress ( probably slowly as have several Vw Kombi's I'm working on too) thats her at the top and sadly her at the moment: Bret (Perth Western Australia)

Thanks Mike,
Safety is paramount.
Regarding the door cards, I have already had them made in leather that is identical to the original made by Rover Trimming. They are stunning and in Connolly hide. I already had the hides and also have loads in blue as well as some other colours which i a will sell on pretty soon as i need the space.
I will post the pictures these when I am ready to fit them probably in March when the weather is better here in the UK.
I am also going to change the shock absorbers on the rear but i can only find Spax that are available and they are only made to order now and are five to ten days lead time.
cheers Craig

hi Bret, I see you are in Perth WA. Have you considered joining the WA Rover Owners Club? I was for years the magazine editor. We are a friendly and helpful bunch.
