On occasion I undertake some repair and maintenance chores on my daughter's 1968 XT Ford Falcon. I've been endeavouring between Covid lockdowns to prep the car for a RWC so that it can be transferred from full registration to a more affordable Club Permit Scheme (CPS).
There are some body rust issues that require attention for a RWC, primarily anything that impacts on structure. I've sorted most of these as well as a few mechanical issues.
A close family friend of my daughter's (spray painter) has offered to repaint the car for her. I've elected to cutout and replace with steel patch panel sections where required some corroded areas in the rear DS door.
Here's the task todate...around 4 hours or so work.
NB. It's fascinating what people can do with a can of 'bog' and a spatula!
At this stage all that is required is for the welds to be ground flush and some filler skimmed over the repair to blend it with the untouched portion of the panel.
