Hi all,
I can’t see a ‘wanted’ section for cars on the forum so Hope OK to post here.
I’d like to buy a manual gearbox P5 3.0 Coupe, I’m looking more on the restoration project side, something that needs work.
Don’t hesitate to give me a pm if you may have something of interest.
Many thanks, Will

I got mine from the forum you will probably get a reply or two. Keep your eye on the cars for sale section Peter Madden is the man who deals with adverts usually

It's the best place to look because you're dealing with like minded people who all care about their cars there's nothing better than a good Rover P5

Thanks again, currently restoring an early P6, but I’ve always wanted a P5 - I seem to have just missed out on a few over the years! will

Hello Will. There is a splendid P5 3-litre for sale in England; obviously it is a Right Hand Drive.
Please contact Rob_newell14@hotmail.com
Apparently it has Very low miles, lots of original parts and paint, never been welded and won prizes at most of the shows it's been to.
I have always found it is better to buy a good specimen than a rotten one that takes a lot of effort to get back on the road.
Good luck to you !
Best regards Christopher Cappelen Oslo Norway

Hi Christopher, many thanks for the input.
unfortunately that sounds like a car that would likely outweigh my budget, plus I actually enjoy working on these cars - which is why I would actually prefer something needing a bit of work.
thanks very much for replying though, much appreciated.
Will

Hi Will, it is a good thing that people are prepared to rescue cars, so that the number of P5's on the road increase. I found a sensible project, an MK II, for sale a little south of Peterborough north of London. Asking price is GBP 1500 or so. I doubt it has been sold, you can contact Mr. Adrian Fell on:

Parts can be obtained from an excellent supplier; JR Wadhams in Stourbridge. info@jrwdhams.co.uk
Please say hello to both gentlemen from me.
I hope you will find the right vehicle.

Like Will, I also enjoy working on my cars as shown by these before and after pictures of my manual shift 1966 P5 Rover Coupe. But like Christopher, I'm not sure there is any money saved by buying cheaply and then fixing it up. Still, it depends on what one likes. Attachments:

... he might be reluctant to give out photos to yet another interested person. I found him to be an unkeen salesman (if there is such a person...) I will be happy to share what I have if you send me your email address. mine is cappelen@uniservice.as

Thanks to all for comments. The white car is a pre-war Rolls Royce with over 100,000 miles on it. Not mine though.
