Hello Everyone, This is my first post on the forum. I've just bought a P5B saloon. I attach a photo of my car which we have only had for a fortnight. I bought it from a local enthusiast who owns 2 other P5s, a couple of P4s and a couple of Armstrong Siddeleys. Age and iill health have made him decide to pass his cars on and we bought this one, the best of his P5s, in my view. Its a complete car but has sat in one of his garages for the past 6 years but started quite easily. It is a P5B saloon in the non-standard colour combination of white paint and buckskin leather with a Webasto sunroof and front headrests. The non-standard colour combination suggests a special order, adding some credence to the previous owner's suspicion that the car could have been owned initially by either the Royal Family or royalty from the Middle East. The Shropshire registration plate, bearing "NT" ( BNT 110K ) would not support this unless the car were re-registered; we are in Shropshire here. The photo shows the car as we found it, dusty, if dry. We're really looking forward to recommissioning it and will report our progress, if people are interested. S

Thankyou for your welcome. Much appreciated. Yes please on your progress, we like nothing more than seeing these cars brought back to life. Lots of help and advice to be had on here, just ask away. Thankyou for the encouragement. Do I continue here or start a new thread in the "Mechanical" section? (I wouldn't want to blot my copy book so early ....)
