Hi John, LPG as a fuel for cars in Victoria, Australia used to be priced at about a third the price of petrol. Over the last few years it's been slowly edging upward and hovering close to the 50% mark. All LPG systems needed to be professionally certified initially and then every 10 years. The current engine in my coupe has done well over 300,000kms and the internals are still clean.

I've been running LPG for about 12 years now on and off but the value equation is diminishing due to the increasing cost at the pump. Also as the user base here in Western Australia is perceived to diminish less and less servo's (petrol stations) are supplying LPG. Often even the ones that do run out for a week at a time. 127.9 here yesterday compared to 79.9 this time last year (AUD).
