I need a replacement fuel tank for my 1972 P5B. I am hoping that the excellent David green can come up with something, but if not, can anyone assist? I am aware of a firm in Leeds which refurbs fuel tanks...but at big money. Anyone had experience of this type of approach?

You might try Barry Kent whose advertisement is on p30 of the August Take Five. Has/had a number of NOS tanks from which he found my rare 1959 Mk1 one, still in factory primer. As mine was off the car I was able to take it to him as there were about 3 might-bes! barry@oreganouk.plus.com

I am not familiar with the V8 set up all I can say is that it was removed from a very late Mk3 P5 3 litre.
