Hi, I have a 1973 P5B and the air filter housing is falling apart and missing parts, I'm struggling to find a replacement. Can I replace with K & N air filters? I'm not worried about increasing horsepower I just want something that works. I look forward to your replies. Many thanks Robert

Contact David Green or Barry Kent. They both advertise a the back of TAKEFIVE, David is also shown under Regional Rep for the Eastern area. Keep it original if you can.

Thanks Sam. I'm waiting for David to get back to me about a replacement, I got the car from him. Just incase I can't get one I would like to know my options. Thanks again Sam

It is sometimes fruitful to advertise in TAKEFIVE if time is not of the essence. Surprising what members have stashed away!

Sorry, Robert, the answer is no. The P5B air cleaner is a flattened eliptical section, in order to fit under the P5 bonnet. The P6 air cleaner is circular in section and therefore too tall to fit the P5B. I am sure somebody like David Green will be able to help.
