As promised some weeks back: roverp5.proboards.com/thread/12058/new-member-old-carI plan to post updates on the recommissioning of our recently acquired P5B Saloon. It makes sense to me to split the posts into cosmetic and mechanical due to the structure of the forum but, if the moderators think otherwise, I can happily pull it all together into a single thread. Anyway, here is our car on our second inspection having been fired up and reversed out of the garage where she had sat for well over five years. She is dusty and the NSF tyre has deflated: Once we had her home a couple of weeks later we were able to assess her properly - dusty but sound and a bit musty inside. So the first job was a pressure wash with snow foam followed by a hand wash: Much better: A clean has revealed the varying paint shades on the O/S doors but we'll address that later. She's more presentable now. The squinting twin tailpipes of the stainless steel exhaust were irritating us so had to be addressed: A couple of long metal bars inserted into each tailpipe and a gentle tweak together soon resolved the issue: The interior is cream in colour (Buckskin?) is in need of a good clean but seems OK for now. Her last trip with her previous owner may well have been for a wedding, judging by the flowers on the back shelf.... Right, I need to upload some more photos so that's it for now. More to come soon.

Keep them coming but I would prefer that future posts are included as an Update in the relevant section
