At Chiddingstone Castle, Hill Hoath Rd, Chiddingstone, Kent, TN8 7AD.
The Rover P5 Club Southern National will be combined with “The South East Rover Rally 2022”. These events will, of course, be subject to any Covid precautions relevant at the time and may be subject to short notice cancellation.
Entry to the Rally will be £10.00 per car. There will be t
he usual SERR trophies and judging run for other models / marques. For the Rover P5 Club there will be separate trophies and judging for P5 Cars alone.
The house is a beautiful place to drive to, surrounded by winding country roads in one of the most scenically beautiful areas of rural Kent. Entry to the house will be by individually purchased tickets at an agreed group rate. This entry is on a free flow basis, meaning you have free unrestrained access to the house and collections for the duration of your visit. In addition to this just a short walk through the beautiful grounds you will find Chiddingstone Village, a National Trust protected Tudor Hamlet which has served as film set for many productions. We hope to be able to obtain exclusive guided tours with the resident Castle curator who will slowly guide you through the collections.
More details of the site can be found at www.chiddingstonecastle.org.uk
Further details and entry forms will be available the next issue of Take Five and www.roverp5club.org.uk
It would be helpful if you are able to make contact and complete entries electronically. The advantage is; communications are free and it saves time and costs for the organising team.
As we are not planning a Saturday ‘get together’, we are not advocating any particular local hotels. There are various hotels in the area and other attractions. Should you wish to make a weekend of this trip, place a post on the P5 Club forum and/or see if you can link with others who may wish to stay through your local Club coordinator; details are in Take Five.
