Are you still looking for a rear axle and diff? Have you tried Mark Richmond? He's in Ballarat, sells a lot of P5 stuff.

I am trying to remove the cylinder shaped fitting at the end of the hub that the wheel sits on when you fit your roadwheels .I can't see what sort of fitting holds it on

On the front wheels? Do you mean the wheel bearing cap?

Front or rear wheels? Are you talking about a 3 litre car or a V8. The 3 litre P5s have a tubular extension fitted to the rear wheel bolt flange at centre. It is peened to the axle. A photograph of the object in question would end the guessing game.

If its the rear axle hub centre for wheel positioning just drill out the rivet in the centre. P5B do not have this useful part
