I know this subject has been covered many times, but i can't seem to find a definitive answer when it comes to sealing the screen. The workshop manual and Wadhams seal fitting instructions both say that sealer should be applied in the seal channel between the glass and the front of the rubber before fitting. Having read all the related posts on here, it seems that sealing prior to fitting is very messy and should only be done when the screen is in place. What is the consensus on this please? I would also like to know if sealer should be applied anywhere on the screen aperture before fitting? I want to make sure I have all the correct information before attempting this. Thanks in advance.

Yes it is very messy and sealer needs applying everywhere before fitting the rubber in the car including the glass to rubber part and more again when its in place
