Is it just me, or is there a distinct lack of activity on this site? Maximum number of visitors at once was only 23? Whats going on here? Where is everybody? Why the same old names, where are new visitors?

Sorry Ned.
I will try to refrain from posting !
However, I do note that you joined the forum in December 2004 and since then have only made 6 posts.
In my book you are as guilty as everyone else !
If no one posts, no one replies, thats how it works.
Not everyone is interested in every subject, or if they think a question has been adequately answered, they will not respond.
So, if anyone wants more activity, and this applies to everyone reading this, the ball is firmly in your court. Don't complain about what everyone else is, or is not doing !

I was not complaining, just making an observation. PS, Mr Smallfry, some people using this forum have more than one identity anyway!! Happy Rovering.

Well over 15,000 hits to date isn't too bad for a club of only around 1,000 members

Ermmmm Forgive my ingorance, but why would anyone want more than one identity on this forum ? Or is this a secret swingers club or something

I fear I am one of the guilty ones on this. For the life of me I couldn't remember my original login and/or password, so I re-registered. I now have these new details in the memory bank.

But how does that compare to the old site?
This is the first time i've been on the Rover site for months, possibly a year! I fined it too cumbersome and I don't like the adverts. I now can't find any info like we used to get??? Sorry Dave but I'm still not a fan of this format.

Ray
Click on 'Search' at the top of the page - various options appear. Type in your search request.
This site may take a bit of getting use to Ray, but try it regularly for a month and see how you feel then. This site does have a number of advantages over the old one with photos being the most obvious example - spell check is a great plus. Also the old site cost the club over £200pa whilst this site is currently free. Moves are being made to remove the adverts at a cost of $6 per month - though I do find after a short while you don't even notice them.
16,000 hits cannot be too bad?
How do other feel about this site?

I have no problems with it at all. It would be good to have the Cars for Sale included on this site compared with having to access the old one and photographs could be used aswell? Overall I think the site provides the criteria for which I am personally looking for but as they say "You can't please all of the people all of the time" Keep up the excellent work

I like the site very much. Don't see much evidence of spell check from some contributors Richard

Richard, maybe there a few who even if they used spellcheck, wouldn't know what word to replace it with if there is a mistake.

David, I agree that a lot of the adverts are of no use to us so should be scrubbed from this site, like all of the USA ones. However there are some useful ones which are UK located, like tyres for instance and these should be kept for future reference.

I just ignore them - I cannot see why payment should be made to remove them after all its members funds and non members use this forum

David,
Site is better and hits impress but how many contributors are there? (Phil must be responsible for a large number of hits all on his own...Thank heavens)
