Does anyone know if the 3 litre had any heat shields in the engine compartment to protect against the heat radiated by the exhaust manifold?

There is a photo of a mkII for sale on ebay at the moment and the engine shot shows a shield running along just above the exhaust manifold - similar but longer to the shield used on the P4 models - hope this helps!

It was that ebay posting that raised the question. I hadn't seen a shield like that is other ebay postings or on my car and was wondering if there were any other kind of shields used.

The heat shield is 1/8th alumininum sheet and is to protect the dizzy vac unit from the heat of the exhaust manifold.
Its the same as P4's and is fastened to the heater pipe

Thank you for all of the input. As I continue to learn, my car has seen too many bad mechanics who have taken off and lost parts. I'll need to create another shield.
