Greetings to all: I am new here so I will indeed be brief. I am looking at a stately 1964 Rover P5 MkIII Coupe with a conversion to a Buick V6 engine for sale here in the USA. I admit I posted this material in the P5 section of the board back to a wonderful member named Grim (thanks for the reponse Grim!) However, I am soliciting any info or recommendations regarding your view on the pictures listed with this auction. The engine is actually a Buick V6 3 speed automatic, and the owner has listed that car as "modified". The Ebay Motors Auction number for this vehicle is 4576685938 if you'd care to see the photos. www.ebaymotors.comYou may have to search for the number as a "completed listing" because the auction ended without any bids. Maybe the price was too high? Anyway, thanks again for the information and if you do get a chance to view the photos, I'd appreciate your thoughts (and anyone's opinions) on the potential for the car. Thanks/Cheers! Kevin

Hi Kevin
I have had a look...............
The seller says its a 350 V6 ? A 5.7 litre ? Thats big for a V6 ! Anyhow, the guys says it has 150 miles on it ? Does that mean it has NEW engine, or does he mean it has done 150 miles since conversion ?
Over here in the UK a non standard motor usually devalues a car to some extent, but it also depends on how it has been done, and what the buyer feels it is worth. Either way, thats up to you !
With these cars its always the condition of the body which is the main issue. Anything else can be (relatively) easy to repair or replace. I think most here would love to have a nice rust free California body, and spend their time and cash on everything else !
From what I can see in the photos I think the car would be worth here around £1000 if it is a runner, and had the usual UK rust problems, and less if it is really rusty. On the other hand, if it has a nice rust free body, and I mean rust free..........
I would have it off the guys property before he had finished speaking.

The listing on ebay states that the engine (he calls it the motor) has approximately 150 miles on it and the car itself he is not sure of the mileage. Thanks very much for looking. - Kevin
