I have a problem with front end shake in my Mk III -67. The shake start at 100 km/h (60 mph) and increase with higher speed. The engine mounts is new, the shock absorber is quite new (yellow spax). I recently adjusted down the front suspension,(It was set in the highest position) I think the problem got worse after I lowered the suspension. Is my subframe loose ? or is it anything else ?
Regards
Lars

One or more of the rubber mounts may have collapsed - if you can rubber its usually a sign of softening (SEARCH). Out of balance wheeels? Slack ball joints. Distorted wheel? The suspension rubber bushes also can have softened.

Lars, lowering the front suspension does not cause out of balance situations. Take a good look at your cars unversal joints and drive shaft assembly, especially the centre bearing section. You mention that the problem pre-existed?

Thanks
I will try to sort it out. I have to avoid roads with a speed limit over 90 km/h. Most road in Sweden have a speed limit of 90, it is only our motor ways that have 110.
