Hey guys, needing to do the flexi hoses on my P5 - they're closing up after a small ammount of braking seizing the NSF caliper.
I have been looking for them everywhere, but all the ones that i find on e-bay are absolutely the wrong fitment - even when advertised as p5 hoses. Does anyone know of somewhere i could buy a set?
thanks

Wadhams - other will fit but they may slightly too long or too short or have the incorrect ends as you have found out.
Old flexis can collapse inside and look totally serviceable but can give all sorts of strange symptoms to brake locking and spongy pedal

He is the main supplier of P4/P5/P6 parts mainly new old stock and remanufactured.
His website is jrwadhams.co.uk
Sometimes his prices are not fully up to date and callers are by appointment and I do not get sales commissions!
Barry Kent is another but he has recently moved and is out of the country! His email address is newpartsforoldrovers@oreganouk.com
David gren supplies mostly secondhand stuff but does do a good selection of remanufactured items
I suggest you do join the P5OC as all such informaion is in Take 5
Good luck

That should be David Green not Gren if you are trying to find him. JR Wadhams is VERY expensive but for some parts you might not have any choice but to use him.

Hey Tigran, this is a prime safety issue for yourself and anyone else driving on the road or walking nearby. Don't stuff about buying 40 year old NOS (New Old Stock) brake hoses or even consider replacing only one hose. Given that this hose is failing the others are only biding their time. Most professional Brake Repairers or Suppliers (I don't know what they call them on your side of the pond) can manufacture you a new set of hoses with new fittings or use the fittings from your old hoses at a very reasonable price. New hoses are just that new; made with current technology. Save money on carpets, upholstery and cosmetic stuff, but don't scrimp on brake components and tyres it may preserve your life or some else's in an emergency situation.
If you are have difficulty finding or having hoses made locate a hydraulic hose manufacturer/repairer they can usually make anything and do for all sorts of hydraulic concerns, mainly trucks, heavy earth moving machinery, etc. I had some hydraulic hoses and also some stainless steel lines made up for a few projects of mine. If you are still having difficulty go to a newsagent and take a look at some of the hot rodding mags there. Look for the index of manufacturers and component suppliers and you'll find something. Hotrod guys are very ingenious and put all types and combinations of components together.
I don't know if this club has batch components made but I'm sure a deal could be done for a kit of P5 brake hoses at a very good price for the members.

Are P5 & P5B brake hoses significantly different? Originally, they had different part numbers, but I note JRW only offers one option (front & rear) implying they fit either model.

I would get in touch with Goodridge Hoses as they are specialists in flexible hoses making them from some sort of metal rather than rubber. They are popular with bikers as when fitted on bikes they do not expand, so give firmer braking. I have a set on my Triumph Stag and when polished they look really smart.
