Blimey, those new-car-tinted specs are slipping off already and I've only had the car three days. (Mk 11c 3 litre)
Does anyone know the quick fix for whatever is causing my indicators, fuel and temp gauges to be dead. Only happened yesterday, and everything else still works.
If the same thing had happened in my Series 3 Landrover, I'd know that I'd dislodged one of the fuses under the steering column with my knee - must get a cover for that fuse box someday..
Back to the P5: have checked fuses I can see on bulkhead - one box of four and two other singles but all are fine.
Any ideas, please?
Thanks

The fuse box is open to the elements somewhat and connections become tarnished - try cleaning these up.

Is it just the warning lights or are the indicators not working as well?

Indicators (+warning lights), brake lights, fuel gauge, temp gauge.
Spent ages working through circuit diagrams in the workshop manual, then discovering that the car's been part re-wired at some stage in recent past. The workshop manual seems to indicate that it's the fuse in position 3-4 which controls all these functions, but have checked all fuses and cleaned contacts and not cured fault.
And yet still I love the car like no other.

Check the wiring at the indicator unit itself. Is the screenwasher working? Everything you mention should go through fuse 3-4. Have you checked the fuse with a test lamp - it may look OK but the caps can be suspect.

I need somebody's help I am afraid. Last week suddenly the indicators, braking lights, fuel gauge and temp. gauge (and the Hollandia electric sunroof) stopped working in my saloon.
This afternoon I cleaned all the connections and sockets at the fusebox, measured the fuses with a multimeter, put everything in contact fluid after cleaning, no success.
Checked underneath the dashboard, no irregularities as far as I could see.
Does anyone has a clue what the cause could be? The problem in this thread sounds pretty familiar, which is why I put my question in this older discussion.

Could possibly be the voltage stabilizer? Have you checked the voltage at the various parts that don't work? That could help.

Does the sun roof have an independent fuse, that may have affected the others.
Otherwise check the earths. The P5 uses the body for earthing and it can cause problems.
