Unless I've got me counting wrong, looks like there's been more activity since Christmas on the P5 3L forum than on the P5B 3.5L forum
Must be because we P5 3L owners are better able to stand the cold than you V8 wusses with yer Rostyles and yer integral fog lamps and other namby-pamby suchlikes. So we work on our cars rather than leave them tucked up in centrally heated garages during the coldest months.
Welcome to the world of 3 litres - tough cars for tough men .
A tug of war sounds fun - count me in! Trouble is, there are probably more P5b's than P5's and the P5b's owners might just be younger and fitter !?! This years NATIONAL RALLY will be at BROOKLANDS in Surrey. Last time we went there was the National when Princess Diana had just died and we went into London after the rally - very moving.
Brooklands the last time I was there we were in a 24hr Kart race for the Amy Wales Trust I was fitter then still young at heart! it was the first race since the circuit was closed it was only on a flat tarmac surface terrible to race on we used 6 sets of tyres there were no more to be had we finished the race on canvas and tyres stuffed with foam one to forget I think we finished 10th a lot gave up because of the tyres
What an I doing on the P5 bit!! I will be at Brooklands all going well

lets make this a fixture,I will speak with Martin Reed and get this put on the adgenda for the forthcoming National.
All you lot have to do is TURN UP!
Lets make this a National worth attending and not the usual poorly attended effort. As it's my regions turn to host it,and it's in a very interesting historic setting (Brooklands) and a lot of effort goes into organising these things put it in your diaries NOW. SEPTEMBER is the month, Big Kev.
Come on Phil, you can make it. 10 yrs has seen some brilliant changes to the area, and of course Brooklands now have Concorde as an exhibit. We could set you up with a stall saying "Technical Advice" i reckon you would have a busy day. Also there are loads of Travelodges on routes into Weybridge, and you never know, some members may have spare rooms so can accomodate a fellow P5/P5B owner. Big Kev.
Glenn, Hows the Diet going ? Have you been advised to take some kind of excersise also. What about the "stricty loosing fat dance off dvd" Or the ex looser from Eastenders dvd, they might be a good ones to start with.
Well i am too busy with putting weight on for all that nonsense.
SEPTEMBER is the month; the fourteenth is the day. Six cylinder owners enduring the long and arduous journey from far flung places like Watford and North London will probably want to make a long weekend of it (charging their personal 'batteries' for the rigors of the homeward trip). V8 ers'll probably arrive early, possibly on the Friday evening the cars being that much quicker!) THIS BEING THE CASE....I'm stringing together a page of words for inclusion in Take Five listing attractions / places of interest in the Surrey / North Sussex area. But would anyone fancy an organised tour? A 'road-book' and maps guiding you through the country lanes and bye ways of this [part of the world? Organised, or should I write 'planned' road tour will be arranged dependant upon interest and responses received....... Comments please by 1st January 2008....TOO late, never mind..
