Is there a particular tool to remove the wheel covers on my 1966 P5 Coupe without bending the outer edge of the stainless steel wheel cover? I assume something came with the car and that I don't have it. Any advise on where to get this?

There is a lever with a hook-like arrangement at the end which fits behind the trim and into the rim of the wheel. The trim pops off when you push the lever towards the tyre. I have emailed you a line drawing. Have one made up or try Dave Green on 01284 788269.

I'm not crazy! I've been looking for one of these for years (had one that disappeared). I sent a picture from the owner's manual to David Green, and he said he'd never seen one before. I'd love to get one because I butcher my hubcaps every time I take them off.

Please could you email me the line drawing as well. I was only taking off the hubcap this weekend with a screwdriver thinking 'there must be a better way'!
Many thanks.
Regards
Roger

There it is, from the P5 Owner's Handbook. For a while I used the plastic surround from a P6 gearshift, but it ultimately was too brittle and inconsistently useful.

Peter - have sent you a template via email, to enable a tool to be accurately constructed. Roger - I need your email address to do the same. Cannot send an attachment on a PM.
