Is it possible to remove the two halves of the cowl without removing the steering wheel?

I hate to disagree, (especially with Phil), but the plastic cowl CAN be removed without disturbing the steering wheel. On a coupé you may have to unscrew the right hand supplementary guage pod to get access to one of the screws, and it is a bit of a fiddle getting the halves past the stalks, and getting it all back into place complete with the little infil strip on the top is an even bigger test of patience, but it can be done.

No problem and that may be, but the plastic is very brittle and quite easy to crack, not counting the risk of damaging the stalks. Its much easier to remove the wheel

It looks as though we have been demoted. I can't remember upsetting anyone. End of saga.
