Hi.. If any Australian members have had their P5 re-trimmed, just wondering where you went and approximate cost.
Don't really have much experience in re-trimming and don't want to get ripped off, just because it's an unusual car.
Andrew.

Hi Andrew, Have you joined the club? RCCA www.rovercarclubaust.asn.au/page1.htmVery knowledgeable and helpful bunch. The club's handbook (2003) recommends Bill Maynes Motor Trimming in Ringwood and Tony McConnell in Eltham.

G'day,
I'm just having my P5B re-trimmed for 6k in perth. That includes 7 leather hides, new carpets and all other trim (incl boot). Whilst not the cheapest, I was qouted this price from two trimmers.
Cheers, Taz.

Hi, from Adelaide. Just having a P5 coupe retrimmed at the moment. Being done through VM Engineering who are based in Stepney, SA. Very thorough work, but it takes time, as getting matching hides normally means importing and waiting until you can actually see the colours. Expect 6 - 7K in total.
Cheers, Geoff.

Hi Geoff,
This is a very old thread. I don't think Andrew and Taz have logged on to the forum much after they posted these comments.
It's a sign of the times, isn't it. Not that many years ago we were exporting finished hides. BMWs and various GM cars were trimmed with Australian leather.
