Hello All,
I am in the final stages of a repaint of my MK 2 saloon. I aquired the car as a abandoned restoration so all the chrome was off whern I got it. At this point I need to drill for the chrome trim in some of the areas that got replaced or repaired.
I have a 2 small chrome "R"s where do they go? Does anyone have a picture?
Thanks Dirk

Hi Guys, I am a a bit daft at times but not that dumb. I know where the "ROVER" insignia goes on the boot. I have a smaller capital "R" I know that NADA differ from the home market cars as they have some addtional chrome etc. I found this reference does this mean anything to anyone mclellansautomotive.com/photos/B5858.jpgThanks Dirk

Glenn, the spacing of 'ROVER' on the 3 litre cars is narrower than on the 3.5litre ones. When the two are together it's very noticeable.

Quite true about boot badging and export Rover 3 litres but not mk3 had the extra wing badges that only the very first Mk1 home market one had. The wing badge was on the boot as well for Mk1's,1a's.
The actual letters are brass on 3 Litres and not cheap alloy for the V8 hand have a slightly different profile. Quite an "anorak" snippet
