Being stupid over the years I have left my car parked with headlights on a few times many years ago. And returned to need the AA to start the car. Not been much of a problem for 10 years or so as most modern cars have buzzers to remind you. I have not done it yet in the Rover but spotted a little aftermarket buzzer for $10.00 in a bargin bin at a local autoparts store. Wired it in tonight took about 30minutes to do, secured unit inside dash pod. 20 minutes to disasemble to get to inside and 10 minutes to wire it up. Just 2 wires one to an ignition powered curcuit and one to the side lamp fuse( just used spade conectors) not park light fuse as I often use outside parkers when parked on street when out in evenings. This is I believe a good simple modification if you use your car as a daily driver
