Alan James wrote Although I do not have the problems with resolution and am quite adept with computers in general I do feel that the style of the new site will lead it more down the path of the boy racers sites with people throwing in emoticons left right and centre and having stupid tag lines that you end up reading every time you read their posting. I have spent quite some time of late looking arou nd other forums and the best of them I feel is www.honestjohn.co.uk/forum/threads.htm?f=2&pg=0 There are no fancy emoticoms & pictures - it keeps it informative and uncluttered IMHO. I suppose if the majority like the new site then so be it and this simple but effective forum will die. I for one shall mourn its passing. What price progress?

:(It is a matter of progress - I know the old site has had a "large"number of hits since introduction but its all relative. There has been quite a few number of complaints about the old one anyway particularly about its speed. Is just about people not liking change and if thats not a sign of old age whats is.
There are still very few contributors to the old site (even fewer on the new one) and perhaps younger owners or enthusiasts may join a more site and even become members.
I am seriously worried this club is getting as stick in the mud as the RSR which would be a shame. Still I the stickier the mud the more I like stirring it.
No desision has been made yet anyway about whether to change but I am not going to keep on looking at two site indefinitley
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you all (on both sites)

Hi, Much as I like the new site, it will not allow me to register. It simply says invalid user name no matter what I input. Any ideas? Geoff
