WARNING Just a couple of weeks ago I needed to cut back the paint on one of my roofs, so I decided to use 'Autoglym' cutting polish instead of G3 which I normally use. The directions state that the contents should be shaken well before use. This I did, when suddenly, there was this enormous bang, and a three quarters full container emptied itself all over my clothes, face and arms and anything in the way in the garage. Luckily I was wearing my glasses at the time, so didn't get any of the residue in my eyes. Mind you the garage did need tidying up a bit, so I've been trying to clear up the mess. It's a long job but something that will have to be done over a period of time now (must get out and enjoy the weather). Obviously something chemically happens in the makeup of the polish as I have noticed the 'resin polish' container expands quite a bit until the cap is removed and a small quantity of polish is thrown out. Has anyone else had this problem? I've been using their products now from when they were first introduced, and prior to that was using Simoniz 'Liquid Diamond'. another excellent product you don't see around anymore. The Simoniz product went head to head with 'Turtle Wax', but I found it streaky on dark colours so never used it regularly.

Sorry to hear that John. It might be worth contacting them on a health and safety issue . There main HQ is only down the road from me at Letchworth, Herts. If I can help let me know.

Yeh..........I would complain, they might give you a replacement or three !
I have noticed that their resin polish and paint renovator does this too..............as do many products of this type.
I believe they have ammonia in them, so DON'T get it in yer eyes !
