A useful tip. (Hopefully!) Many owners have trouble keeping the standard time clock working accurately. The following is not meant to be a detailed plan, but just to give an idea of one solution to the problem. A "new" Rover 75 clock is ideal as a replacement for the standard 2inch clockwork item in the P5. Because it is of small size and made of plastic, it is fairly easy to fit into the old case (The works come out of the new one fairly easy). The new hands look ok as well. You will also have to cut a bit off the old adjuster, so that it becomes a "dummy". The only tricky bits are the adjustment buttons. The forwards and reverse adjusters are operated by buttons on the printed circuit. These can be pressed by using a paperclip through very small holes drilled through the front of the clock. If they are small enough you will not notice them. Getting the right position is left to your inginuity, but remember not to drill the holes so that the hands hit the paperclip. Also remember to watch the polarity. Not a problem since the new clock is plastic cased. You can get 75 clocks on e-bay fairly cheap.
