Hi I'm new to your site and need a little advice!! The P5 mk11c that I have just bought as a duff engine. I have been offered a mk111 manual engine,will the torque converter fit the manual crankshaft? if not can it be machined to take it? Thanks any advice will be very much appreciated ;D I'm going to join the CLUB!!!!

It's not my domain but the crankshaft part numbers are different 541907 in the MkII C auto and 541904 in the MkIII auto they use the same crank in the MkII C manual as the Mk III 4 speed and auto what the differences are sorry I cant help you any further being a V8 man

I don't know either, not had much to do with the DG box.
But part numbers can be a bit misleading, as an example according to part numbers V8 manual and auto engines and cranks are different, when in fact they're the same, it's just that they come with the spigot bushes fitted which ARE different.

Search? - the Mk2 auto engine had a unique crankshaft and there are two of those - not sure that machining will rectify but it is the the flywheel end that differs and the journals on the Mk2a/b Cf the c
