No, but some have swapped in a Volvo 164 steering box. A special mounting plate is required. If you check the archives and/or Google, you should see at least one lengthy thread on that subject.

Ok, now understood.
Which parts had P5B with Interceptor Mk1? Possible Rostyles is shared with very early Interceptors, from some point, it became wider. Rear axle. Steering rack? Brake servo? Brake calipers? Ambla expanded vinyl? Switchs?

Brake calipers? Ambla expanded vinyl? Switchs? As far as I know Denis, the rear axle is unique but Range Rover diffs will fit. The steering box is unique. (it's not a rack) Brake callipers are unique, but SD1 callipers can be made to fit, if you modify and fit SD1 hubs and discs.

Yes, why on earth would you want the images smaller? I vote for bigger, say 800px.
Also, the interior lights, as mentioned above by denis23, is shared with others, notably the MGB from '68 to '76, at least the NADA cars.

Size isn't everything. ;D I have added some coding so hopefully all photos submitted will now be automatically reduced to a sensible size

If I may ask, what do you define as sensible?
The Riley forum of which I am a member automatically resizes photos down, which is maddening, as you always have to click on them to see them at a decent size.
In other words, you may wnat to reconsider. I doubt many members are on dial-up at this point, so download times shouldn't be a major concern.

I thought the standard photo size for web display was 800 x 600, and they seem to fit the standard forum column width so they don't create the need to scroll sideways, but still give a nice big image.
..... David, I've just noticed that you've downsized all mine too. I always carefully resize to 800 x 600 to suit the forum screen. I agree that many photos don't need to be that big, but a lot of what gets posted is technical stuff where we're really looking at the detail in the photo.
Can we pleeease have your new auto resize set for 800 x 600?

Hear what you are saying Trymes, but the original image from McGill was way too big, even for my 22" screen, which means you have to scroll across to view it.
I have reset the max image size to 800 x 600 (previously 500 x 300) which should be better.

I am running my p5b with a Range Rover Classic diff. Same 3.54 ratio. However, the range rover casting is the later type, it does not have a filler plug. Cut the thread for the plug out of a scrap RR axle. Turn a shoulder on the threaded part. Measure carefully the correct level.Cut hole with holesaw Weld the thread in. Carefully remove any swarf from inside thre axle. You can now fit old RR or Discovery 200 diff. Land Rover parts are likely to remain available for longer than P5 parts, maybe?

Hi everyone,
Could anybody give me some advice please, whether the P5B has got more UNC or UNF screws? Is there any recommendable screw-set to buy?
And: Where do I get affordable Lucas Windtone horns?
Thanking you in advance,
Søren

The majority of threads on the P5B (and I assume the P5) are UNF. There are a few UNC threads, mainly in the engine where aluminium is threaded (e.g. inlet manifold bolts).
I bought a set of stainless steel bolts on eBay for the engine - they are specifically for the P5B V8, bagged for each item (inlet manifold, rocker covers, water pump, sump etc). Later V8's had different threads, so you need it specifically for the P5B. I've also bought individual packs of UNF bolts, nuts and washers for elsewhere on the car.
I generally prefer stainless steel, but it's not as strong as normal carbon steel, so might not be appropriate everywhere - others can probably comment on whether there's an accepted position on this.
