Wadhams I understand do the best looking transmission cover - others may not have the moulded effect parcel tray (not required for Mk1's)

There are a few suppliers of "fitted carpets" as per "original patterns" I have fitted a set for a friend and they looked OK but were not made that well no where near as good as the originals and had to be cut in a few places to get them to fit the materials alone for mine I made were more money than the bought set so that will give you an idea

The tunnel in pre V8 cars is almost impossible to get right - most do not even try! its completely different from the V8 console which also needs care and the right carpet

I have the intention to replace the carpets in my Mk II coupé. My present carpets is poorly made. Is Wadhams carpet the only new carpets with the moulded parcel tray ?

Wadhams did do the nearest - not sure whether this is still the case. I have not bought any myself.
It really depends how authentic you want it to look. The moulding is not a lot of practical use and Mk1's did not have it and the tunnel was more rounded. Most would not know its missing and many carpets are Wool/nylon mix or nylon which just does not look right anyway in a 3 Litre P5 - 100% Wilton is the correct stuff but it is very expensive

Thanks Phil
I am not sure what to do. The best is to find a second hand carpet, but I don´t think it is possible to find a acceptable red carpet to a LHD Mk II.
Regards
Lars

Not certain that the tunnel carpet is different for LHD as this part is common - red is the worst colourfast carpet, you will be very lucky to find a decent one anywhere (over 44 years old!) and it will never match new floor mats anyway
