Hi all, I think it would be great to have somewhere on the club site with pictures of the different colours available to the P5 range throughout production. This p6 website has great example of what I mean. Anyone one fancy giving it a bash? Colin www.roverp6.info/P6%20production%20colours.htm

Nice idea Colin, but actually showing the car colour for both P5 and P5B would be exhaustive. There weren't so many colours available for the P5B but the P5 had a large range of colours. If you look at members cars these days on this site you can see any colour so long as its' blue. This seems to be the most common. All the paint colour codes plus their mix are on this site so as to give some help. I think what you are asking for may be a little too much to ask without a lot of thought going into it.

Maybe a big one.
However I am sure people have period brochures that would give the orignal colour combinations and other members could post an exterior picture on a thread which could help to build up an full range.
Just and idea.

HI am painting my one coupe Admiralty blue with a silver birch top - question!! my other car is zircon blue with silver birch top - a flat colour. Very pale grey and gorgeous. Is silver birch flat or metallic ? So grey as opposed to silver.

Silver birch is a solid colour or flat as you put it! And definitely grey rather than silver
I’m re painting the body of my car in silver birch (grey)

Silver birch, as in the colour of the bark of a silver birch tree. My roof is 'silver birch', however the previous owner's spray-painter misunderstood, and it's metallic.

Just and idea. Colin I’m sure there are plenty “library pictures” out there to achieve what you’re proposing, the 75/ZT club have a thread like that with not only the standard range of colours but all the special order “monogram” colours & even the duo tone combos, I mean you don’t have to go into showing every combination just all the available colours over the years, the James Taylor book lists the colour range albeit without pictures so I’m sure using that list for reference and one of those internets it couldn’t be too hard
