Am after a set of whitewalls for my P5B Saloon. Wheels are rostyles. Where is best/cheapest place to locate a set . Don't want the whitewall flaps. Thanks!

I bought a set of whitewall tyres about a year ago from tyrespec.co.uk. They are Cooper Lifeliner GLS 205/70 R15 and I see they are currently £79.32 each including VAT and delivery but you will need to allow for fitting. Other members might know of alternative tyres and suppliers but that gives you a start. Tony

Got mine from there too, excellent service. Got a set of 225/75/15s for £59 each delivered. Careful though, having a little trouble with rubbing on full lock. 215s probably better.

It is often some confusion about aspect ratios of tyres, here is some information. aspect 80 is better than 75 and 75 is better than 70 etc. Regards Lars

Interesting, especially the MOR Whitewall. They can take a standard 185-15 and vulcanized a white wall on the tyre. Diamondback in USA does that with all their whitewalls. Do you know the cost for four whitewalls?
They have a picture of a Citroen Ds on Michelin 180HR15, that tyre is probably the best radial replacement for 670-15 on the market.
Regards
Lars

Hi Lars, no, i dont know details. I have never done business with them. I have just read a lot in the magazines on them. The Michelin HR15 costs more than 200 EUR. You can get 670-15-Whitewall a little cheaper. But they wont stand 100 mph. I will dream on using cross plies one day... Mark

Seen some cars with white walls at the National and must say I do like them. Particualrly the thinner white line set away from the wheel.
So................ has anyone used the special whitewall rubber paint on their tyres? Mine have plenty of tread so I am reluctant to replace them just yet. I understand the paint should only be used on tyres that are over a year old, so no problem there for me!
