Is anyone into old tractors? The little grey Ferguson tractor occupies a special place in the development of rural Australia and is remembered fondly. A friend of mine is restoring one of the last of them built during the early days of the Massey Harris take-over. It's the so-called Golden Grey, or Copper Belly (or various other names). The Ferguson FE35. The wheels and sheet-metal were still grey but the castings (engine, transmission, etc.) were a coppery gold colour. vintagetractorengineer.com/2009/01/ferguson-fe35-golden-grey/Unfortunately he's having trouble finding the correct paint code for the gold colour and the internet hasn't as yet yielded the answer. Does anyone know the answer or is able to point me in the right direction. If only Phil had one, then the answer would only be milliseconds away.

That's strange. All the MF35s that I've seen here have red sheet-metal with grey engines, axles, and other castings. A friend has a diesel MF35 in regular farm use. I have a MF135 which is also red and grey like all MFs here after the original little grey Fergie.

Probably the same factory as used for squirrels. Here on the continent they're red and in the UK they're grey.
