Note the BW35 auto being rebuilt and the references to BW40 and BW51. Also note the gearbox beside the rebuilt unit with EFI 40 written on it.
The BW35 was upgraded (BW40, BW51) until the late 1980's in OZ and fitted to large 6cyl EFI Fords and are compatible with Dexron ATF.
The complete BW40 internals can be fitted to the early BW35 case of a P5B providing wider friction flex 'bands' on the clutch drums and improved clutch material with a heavier diaghram spring for the front clutch.
The valve body also provides a low speed automatic downshift to 1st gear under light throttle (when rounding a corner at low speed).
