I do travel long distances to buy cars but i think this would be a challenge fpr my LDV van, anybody interested, possibly who lives in spain or close by, i do have pictures.
Hi David, I saw your add on p5club web page, I own a mkIII saloon auto in need of total restoration. The thing is that me and the car are in SPAIN (Alicante-Costa Blanca). The car has superficial rust only, two ownwers from new, 130.000km (82.000mil), had a gasket problem in 1984 and was dry stored in a garage until two years ago. In 1990 started to repair it and removed the head.Have some history and all the original books, even for the radio and sales brochure (all in english). First registered in Spain in 1967. 900 quid for 67 mk3 that needs a full restoration!!!!
Seems like its not just his engine what's lost its head.

One should suppose that due to dry climate there is only little rust. Maybe the interior has suffered a lot more from heat. Would be expensive either.

Doesn't really matter...
You're talking about a 1967 mk3 Saloon that needs a full restoration, including engine rebuild... The guy's off his trolley if he genuinely thinks its worth anywhere near 900 quid.
I wouldn't give him 900 old style italian lira !
I mean if nothing else... what's a tow job from SPAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
