Nice to see a P5 being restored. Maybe you may be interested in an apearance in the club magazine??? Are you a member?? Please keep us updated to its progress. P5's are much rarer then the P5B's. I would have thought your car would have been one of the last one's made. The sunroof would have been an optional extra.

David Maxwell Tehachapi, CA Fife Scotland Got some more done this week stripped and primed underneath new coat of paint on the underside crossmember painted and ready to be temp fitted to allow it to be moved to the booth for painting springs and axle painted, it's now built back up and fitted more to follow if it gets painted next week Andy

I wonder if this is the car I saw in a bodyshop in Thornton many years back?
I remember going to see it with John Rae who was the Scottish region rep at that time, we were "liberating" two other cars (a mark 1 P5 and a P5B) from a chap in Leslie at the time.

small update the shell is now painted just the boot,bonnet and sunroof to do just to got the engine and box to clean and a new clutch to fit and then sort out the wiring Andy

Some really good pictures of how a clean and proper underside should look without the orrible underseal. Of course originally it was only part-primed and overspray like most cars of the time so its hardly surprising they rust as the shells were not even paint dipped

got the engine and box back in and started on the wiring loom, just hope we can find all the parts for it may get some more done this week Andy

paint the exhaust manifold, that car deserves it! got some paint for it but it will need to be running so it can be baked on got some more done but no photos as yet will get some this week does anyone know if the sunroof has a seal round it as we cant find it and dont know if it had one Andy
