What a fascinating experience the Morgan tour was - we were taken through every stage of the production.
Many thanks to Rover P5 Club organiser Wendy Watts for organising the day

I remember reading an article, many years ago, (maybe in Road & Track) about the Morgan Company, saying that it was the most efficent car company (when measured by the waste produced, unsold car inventory, etc) in the entire world car industry!

Having been there I have to agree David. The chap who was using a metal shears to cut the edgle of a bonnet was taking off tiny strips of aluminium and carefully placing them in the waste bins. He was then checking the fit by eye and touch Apparently every car is made to order, so they have no stock and of those in production 70% are exported, though the smaller traditional shaped Morgans do not go the the US due to emmission controls.
