Didn't know that gloss chrome nail polish existed. Have to talk to my wive finally, too ;D
I just kew the use of beige white nail polish to restore choke and other handle knobs letters. That works fine.
Perhaps we should continue this thread of making proper use of our wifes chemistry...

Alternatively try pouring Coca-Cola over the rusted areas and then gently rubbing over the rust with the shiny side of aluminium foil. Sounds daft but it does work.Not a permanent solution but improves the appearance considerably. No doubt one of our members will know how and why this happens....some chemical reaction no doubt.

This one is also useful... I used fine steel wool till now if rusty chrome had to prepared.

I've used 'Silvo' on my chrome to remove surface rust... it takes a while but works a treat.
