Well. here it is...my 1965 Mk11c manual/overdrive P5 Coupe in Pine Green. Bought in March from someone I see was a member of this forum. It's in very good condition and pulls like a train (once its rolling!). I'm using it far too much for my wallet's good and loving every moment. The JRW number plates have still to be put on - at present its still got the yellow/white ones it came with, which I took to pieces and resprayed. Am contemplating having the roof resprayed in lighter colour (in original scheme colours once I can find my James Taylor book to tell me what it might have been) or did the 1965 models not come in two-tone? The Pine Green does require a lot of cleaning work to keep it looking good . Cheers PS. I now understand why these car mag photographers get paid so much - it's surprisingly difficult to take good pics of a car.

Well done - hope you do use it but 16 mpg is about right for local you should get 24 on long runs. Is it auto? Two tone were available - a light green would go nicely on the roof. It also looks like its got the original sills? Or if not they have been very well fitted

It looks really original and sound. Rover made a brilliant design move with the P5b in fitting sill trims on black sills. That simple move improved the side- on appearance beyond measure.... in my opinion of course. Good luck if you have ordered a remanufactured rear aluminium blank from JRW. It is rubbish and I sent mine back. See past threads for the story behind that one. You are better off getting an original heavy gauge backing plate 2nd hand from David Green and restoring it yourself.he original plate was also predrilled to line up with the holes predrilled in the bootlid so fit will be perfect.
