I have been trying to fit the new door seals I sourced from Scotts Old Rubber. They seem to be well made and fit well into the metal channel. However, I have not had much success with the supplied contact adhesive as it seems to take a long while to set and then the adhesive strength is very low.
I am going to try to clean the metal channels again in case this is the problem.
Has anyone completed this task and if so are there any tips to share?

I finally got all 4 door seals to fit using 3M weather strip adhesive. Three of the 4 doors close nicely but the front passenger side is very hard to close. This will need so more adjustment of the striker plate I assume?
The seals look pretty good although in the fronts where three extrusion profiles are used, the areas where different profiles butt against each other does not look very neat.

Hi Geraint
I am sorry you have been having so much trouble with the Australian seals. You are quite right in stating that they look arkward as not enough profiles are included in the kits and some clearly without any reference to a P5 are used and yes they will fit, but don't look correct. We took a long time to develop our sponge seals, using shadowgraphs from genuine NOS seals. Why don't you try one of our kits, however even our kits will struggle with a tight door which is probably the result of previous sill replacement work or the result of being a handmade Rover..
Interesting due to the favourable exchange rate at the moment we are exporting a lot of rubber seals to Australia.
Regards Jon
