I had just purchased my first house (as you can see by the grass it was a big job to tidy!)
Look at those turn up jeans!

My 1958 Wolseley 15/50 complete with Moggy side and indicators was used every day for 3 years with no trouble at all .
Only 3 issues with it.
1. The Diff cracked after a week (Wolseley club spares guy sent me replacement next day - refitted in 1/2 a day - never done it before.)
2. The Water pump bearings gave up after 12 months, new replacement Mini pump fitted next day.
3. The Crossplies it came with (remoulds) nearly killed me on the motorway once. An accident happend and the traffic stopped I could'nt - as the tyres were skidding on the motorway even though brakes were good. I had to swerve onto the hard shoulder to avoid the car in front! Upon checking the car I noticed the steel wires poking through the side walls - NEVER EVER have I fitted a remould or even a Crossply to any car!
Ironically the guy I purchased it from also had a Rover P4 in Black and I have to say I almost got that one but it was too expensive for me at the time.
When it rained I used to have magic mushrooms growing in the carpet at the back.
The dials all had a nice yellow glow to them at night.
Heater once it warmed up used to make you want to sleep.
The windows steamed up all the time.
I used to bang my head on the boot everytime as they dont open very high.
Had to use the starting handle about 3 times when the battery was on its way out. You learn fast how to protect your fingers with those dont you!
Always started on the button and I regrett selling it to this day. It was a scruffy car but I did go all over the country in it on the motorways 65mph most of the time.
Happy days........
What did I do with it? part -ex it for a 1991 Vauxhall Cavalier as my wife did'nt like it!
