I would say any reputable chromers would do it but read somewhere the rims need to be split to do a proper job?

Johns car looks fantastic and must be better then when it was new, I know that I have said it before but you cannot see the amount of work in this car by just looking over it and as for the wheels, well I suppose we would all love our wheels to look as good as Johns but you just cannot always justify the expense.

Please, being the Rover P5 owner and Jensen Interceptor owners club member, I am very interested to know about possibilities of rechroming rostyle wheels in UK.

The OE Rostyles had a grey laquer / sealant applied in the well of the rim to seal the rivets to make the wheel airtight. Does anyone know what this sealant was / is, and if it is still available, or nominate a suitable alternative?

I know I am being a bit long winded sorry I had two more wheels done solely for the purpose of explaining the process it has only been 9 months to get the rechroming done I have played with sealants but you have to be careful on the safety angle recommending a product the wheels I have done haven't lost any pressure in 12 months even when I do the article I cant recommend what I have used as it was not intended for purpose PM me

I am in talks with a chroming company as we speak in Bristol, they charge £380+vat to re-chrome your rostyle wheels. This price includes - 1- split the rims and rejoin them. 2 - re-chrome the 2 parts of the wheels. 3 - paint the black inserts in. They are not a commercial platers they are a chrome restorer and take there time to get your chrome looking perfect.
Any questions please get in touch and full details will be posted soon
