This an orginal car, never been welded or had any body repairs. It has had a high quality repaint and the bright work replated about 4 years ago which has stood the test of time. I purchased this car 7 years ago from a chap in Portsmouth who had known the car for quite a few years. The chap used to make deliveries to a warehouse where the car was laid up for the previous 15 years. After admiring the car on his visits, he managed to purchase it after many attempts, as a project for his retirement. In the 3 years he owned it, he overhauled all the brakes, discs, callipers, shoes etc and did whatever it needed to get the engine running smoothly. Unfortunately due to ill health he decided to sell it and that is when I bought it. I had it transported home. Then it was in very good order but the paint was flat and flaking off in places and the chrome was dull and pitted. The car ran but would cut out after a short while; that was due to the fuel tank being rusty inside. I then got the car to my local garage for an MOT. They rebuilt the propshaft and fitted an alternator. I used the car for the summer as it was, then decided to get it painted, so I sent all the chrome off for replating and found a good body shop to repaint it. £3,800
