I watched it David and I thought it was fantastic shed engineering at it's best the guy with the Indian is from Norfolk and I know the only paint left on the bike because of the salt was the spray chrome

Brilliant program. Was really pleased to learn some of them weren't engineers but just learning the skills and getting on with it.
I am soon tempted to go buy a lathe!!
My grandad was an engineer but by the time he retired he was so fed up with it he wasn't interested in teaching me the ropes. We rebuilt my ford cortina gearbox together after I lost a load of money buying one from a reconditioner that whined and jumped out of gear.
I'm no longer fazed by rebuilding general mechanical stuff but it would be great to turn up a few new parts wouldn't it ?
