I agree Gordon it does look very good. Shame it's spoilt by the Rostyle wheels. They should have satin black inserts which would finish off the car to a treat. At least it has the sill finishers fitted.

I have just had a look and it is a very nice car spoilt by the unfinished wheels. I suppose the main reason for the difference in price between this one and the CCW Coupe is that the latter is unrestored. There is also an iffy looking saloon on Ebay for £700 whose history was lost in a house fire :' Richard

So you too have seen the P5B Coupe in this week's CCW Richard. A good write up for it and it looks nice in Bordeaux Red/Silver Birch. However they say there is bubbling under the front windscreen and that smells of expensive trouble soon. Plus the other bits that need refurbishment. It is expensive for what it is, and I wouldn't touch it.

Sorry all,I have misread the board ,I didn't realise that the CCW car was restored and it certainly does sound way over priced if it has bubbles in that area Richard

My wife and I went to see this P5B in Scotland and I agree it was a very nice car, the car did not sell and was put back on Ebay twice more. the seller withdrew the car on the final auction. Do you think the reserve price of £6800 was to high? Alan Simpson Tyne and Wear.

As previously mentioned by Dorsetflyer, bubbling on the window scuttle is a major job to rectify. a bit like the tip pf an iceberg. I question any car that has rust in a known area, as you can almost guarantee if you dig closer, it will be found in other areas.
For that sort of money the car should not be immaculate but certainly fault free.

Gordon, having made the comments about both the wheels, and the lack of sill trims, for that sort of reserve price it was way too high. Having only spotted those two points, I wonder what else was odd or missing what I couldn't see. OK it wouldn't take long to correct the Rostyles, but getting sill trims is another matter. I certainly wouldn't dream of selling a car without all the fittings being there and correct. My view of that car was it might have made 5k if you were lucky.

Thank you for your comments however the P5B in Scotland My wife and I went to see was the Admiralty Blue saloon and not the Bordeaux Red/Silver coupe. The saloon had no rust to be seen. Alan Simpson Tyne and Wear.

Yes I've seen it too Alan. Sounds though three wheels may possibly have had the inserts painted now, but I wonder if the sill trims have been fitted yet. I cannot remember any Rover being readvertised so many times.
