Does anyone know the part number of the P5b power steering belt. The one fitted to mine isn't really tight even with it on the limit of the adjuster.

Cheers John,it looks like Wadhams have them at a reasonable price. I've a pile of fan belts in the sheds I might have a plugh through them but can't recall seeing one last time I looked.

I found a belt with the right part number but it's a fan belt, not power steering (which as you'd know is thicker). I think I'll take the old one off and measure it.

I dont recommend them often but I had to buy new belts and the only place I could get them easy was HALFORDS. other places could get them but they try to order them by reg number.
I was so shocked that the had the 4 belts I needed I called my GF to tell her.
The GFB148 is an 1125mm belt if you went in their belts number depending in the width 8,9,10 etc so 10x1125 is a 1125 long belt that is 10mm thick.
There used to be a list of useful p5b part numbers, it may have been on the old site or maybe trevor had it?

Thanks for the replies. The 148 is a fan belt not PAS which is wider. Looking at various ebay and other suppliers there are a few who could do with the loan of Johns glasses. Some list belts as P5b power steering belts that have as much chance of fitting as I have of being Naomi Cambells toy boy.

My files indicate that the PAS belt is a Unipart 602473 if that helps?

The part number for the original PAS belt was ERC 1347 according to a couple of sites the equivalent still has modern applications (Alfa Romeo) being one. I've found a belt that I've cut and joined to fit with the adjuster 1/2 way and taken it apart again to get the measurements,Goodyear and Gates list a belt that should fit.I'll order one and if it does post the numbers on here.

Hi Colin That is a mini belt (dynamo) I'm sure it would do the job its the right length but the PAS belt should be 13mm wide.

I've now ordered a belt that should fit (same spec as the original) if it does,I'll post the details. It was also sensibly priced!
Update.. I'd love to be able to report on the belt but the supplier hasn't yet got round to posting it.
