Hi if anyone has any good condition 3 litre wheel nuts laying around doing nothing I'd love to give them a good home? I need to put together a set of 20 for my P5B that will be getting longer wheel studs for another project. Its probably best to message me Many thanks Roy

Later P4's had the same ie 80/100/95/110 but beware as threads wear and strip as does the seat taper

Hello Roy, I think I have them for you but not quite sure. There was a box with wheel nuts in a donor Rover I bought, don't know they are right. Can you send me a picture how they looks? If right you can have them for the cost sending them to you. I live in Holland.

Hi Frans, thanks for the offer but I cant send a photo, I dont have any to take a picture of!
All I can tell you is it is a 7/16 thread, open ended nut with a radius seat (Convex on the nut seat, Concave on the wheel seat). Would you be able to try one on your parts car to see if it fits? thanks Roy

Hello Roy, I looked in the box and I have 2 types: one has an inside maesure of 10,3 mm and the other one 11,3 mm. Both are closed at the outside. I have 15 of each no more.

Hi Franz, do you mean one end of the nut is closed? If so, I need the ones which are open both ends and they are black in colour not Chrome? Thanks for looking for me! Roy

Hello Roy, all the nuts are closed at one side, so I am afraid they are not what you are looking for.

Have you considered drilling through your domed nuts (preferably on a lathe) and chasing them with a tap? The problem with finding used ones is that they will the last thing to go from a parts car. Without the wheels on a wreck becomes very hard to handle.
JRW has all three types for sale - BSF, UNF and domed. Starting at £3 ea.

Thanks for the suggestion, I hadnt considered it because I dont have access to a lathe and so it never occurred to me. The main focus for me is cheapness! A secondhand set should be quite cheap compared to £3 each! I'm not desperate so am happy to wait to see if anyone has any knocking around, doesnt have to be a set! When I think back to the amount I must have thrown away in the past but I always had V8s so never needed them..

I have just joined the forum and the board and possibly the search for those nuts has ended. From Oz country. I am somewhat confused. P5B wheel nuts are chromed and encased. P5 nuts are 'double ended' - in other words, they can be fitted from either end. P6 wheel nuts have a chamfer on one side only - the other is flat. Are these still wanted ? Regards Styria

You may well be right - chances are that the ones with chamfer both ends are early P6s. P6s with the "mag look alike" hubcaps had two types of closed off wheel nuts - both chrome and a different design that were painted black and I have lots of all varieties - but in Australia. Regards Styria
