Ordered August 6th. Paid for by credit card. I rang a few days ago,as I was told fifteen to twenty working days and was promised a tracking number. Have heard nothing since. Not looking good so far.

Did you order direct with GH or through Ebay?
Have they answered your email queries regarding delivery?

Ordered direct from Group Harrington. I phoned after they ignored an earlier e-mail (there is no address anywhere on their web site which always seems a bit 'iffy') and was told they would send a tracking number. They didn't. I will be in touch with the credit card company unless persuaded otherwise.

Update. This morning they have been in touch. My bumpers were dispatched a couple of days ago (I tracked them and they are in deed on the way). They apologised for missing the mails and not replying,I accepted the apology which seems sincere, I drop the odd clanger myself and all you can do is say sorry and put it right beat as possible. Will keep you all informed.

That's good news. I'm looking forward to your report and hopefully the quality and fit issues have now been sorted.

Yes, excellent news.
Lack of communication from a seller really sets the alarm bells ringing for me. It's good to hear that your bumpers are on the way.
I'm watching with interest because I keep wondering about buying a set.
Are they any cheaper direct from GH, compared with the price on Ebay?

Using a credit card via paypal for high value purchases voids your rights to claim back the money from the credit card company should there be major problems with the transaction.

I'm back on the thread The rear one is fitted but the front one was a nightmare with the three pièces and I gave up as I had so much other things to do. I'll try again this winter. Look forward to see if they made improvments and waiting for your fitting advices kevbacon!

Hello Cyf I'll let you know how I get on,I bought a secondhand bumper for my P5b a couple of years back and that wasn't an easy fit even though it's an original, maybe they were drilled etc by hand and 'fettled' to each car. My bumpers are in the country,I've been tracking them and they have slowed down a bit since they got to Europe but then again planes are quicker than lorries. Harringtons have asked me to let them know how the fitting goes, they do seem genuinely keen. They also suggested they can manufacture one off parts in metal or plastic, might be an idea if we can come up with some suggestions of parts where there is no supplier at all as of now.

I'm sure we can have better products if we let the manufacturers know about the problems. Threads like this one can contribute to this, I hope

Excuses Cyf - je suis intéressé par la façon dont les nouveaux pare-chocs intègrent - i know you have had some issues in the past, so i would like to know how the new set ordered by Kevbacon fit on the car.

Update. Bumpers arrived.Very well packed with bolts washers etc in a seperate bag and the bumper parts wrapped in rags etc.I have fitted the back bumper,my original was a bit twisted so I started from basics and set the bumper supports that go into the chassia paralell and 40 inches apart on the inside and then bent the bumper supports to fit the new bumper.I first compared the new bumper with a straight but rotten one to compare the fixing points.I will post pictures after I have fitted the front but I am pleased with the rear, the bumper and overriders fit well and it looks very smart. It took me five hours to fit the rear I think the front might take longer but so far I consider these a good by.

I'm looking forward to seeing the images. In your opinion, would the new bumper fit straight on to the existing supports if the supports were original and undamaged? The reason I ask is that the chassis mounting brackets seems to have a fixed position but the bumper support brackets have slotted holes for fine adjustment. It doesn't seem right that you are talking about bending the supports to fit the bumper. Not everyone has a big vice attached to a decent bench. Shouldn't these bumpers just fix on with only very minor fettling?
