Morning All, I pulled the front screen out of my P5B saloon yesterday - to change the rubber and attend to some corrosion on the drivers side scuttle panel. I've ordered a replacement panel - which should arrive in the week; I was hoping someone who's tackled the job already may have a few pointers? It looks like I will have to strip out some of the dash to get to the inside (and to stop it going up in flames when I weld it!!) I had a brief look last night - How do the small panels on top of the dash detach ? (covering the windscreen rubber from the inside) - I'm hoping to get away without actually moving the instument binacle or disturbing the dash. Any advice gratefully received!!!! Thanks, Steve.

Hi Steve they are attached buy a nut which if you use a long extension you get from underneath "get the torch out" and you can see them! about center of the little cover. Depends on how far into the inside the rot has progressed but you should get away without removing the Binnacle but even then it's not a bad job, it will be easier than refitting the screen

Thanks John/Glenn, I've had a good poke about and stripped off the old paint - it doesn't look too bad. I'll report back when I get the panel. Wish me luck!!! Steve.
