Having replaced the carpets I'm left with rusted old carpet retaining clips and wish to replace them. I seem to remember stainless steel ones being available but can't recall where they can be purchased from. Any one have a clue please? Steve

Do you not find that those type of clip fitted by Rover damage the carpet? John Wearing the P4 man has carpet retaining clips £4-80 each but does not say what they are made of they are the same clip on P4 and P5.

I can get these made but it was such a long time ago that I would need another clip to go by. They had a viscious spike on them x2? I remember I got an e-mail from a certain well known distributor asking why I was making them?...When he/she already stocked them. MAYBE you should try them first. You can PM if you have not worked it out.

Steve,
The original finishing of the these clamps is crap. I bead blasted my clips and got these zinc coated. These look very good now.

Hi GB I have some of yours Hi JB, the trouble with those ones are the spikes are not right as per original or do you think they are better not being so severe? ::)Do the original spec tear the carpets after a while? I could get them made to have more of a spring too but I would need to find out if that was possible

Several have disintegrated and replacements are needed and would prefer a "bling" finish for the ones under the front seats.

They were a bit lacking in grip Glenn due to the teeth not being sharp enough and the SS not having the spring of the original Spring steel ones, apart from that like your Sill trims they are "very" well made They are viscous little bu**ers
